Environmental preservation is crucial to the health of Campbell’s ecosystems and residents. I am the only candidate endorsed by environmental groups like the Sierra Club, 350 Bay Area, and the Santa Clara County League of Conservation Voters, reflecting my commitment to sustainability.
What It Is: The Campbell Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (CAAP) aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase resilience against climate change impacts. It focuses on key areas like energy efficiency, sustainable transportation, waste reduction, and protecting urban ecosystems.
How to Be Involved: Residents can participate by attending public meetings, providing feedback, and engaging in community workshops to shape the plan’s development. You can sign up for notifications here.
My Support as Councilmember: I will advocate for policies that align with the CAAP, prioritize funding for sustainability projects, and actively promote community involvement to ensure the plan reflects our shared environmental values.
Prioritize the protection of open spaces, riparian areas, and aquifers, which are essential for local wildlife.
Maintaining percolation ponds and advocating for drought-resistant green canopies are key to replenishing aquifers and improving air quality.
To reduce traffic congestion and emissions, I will promote biking and public transit. I will advocate to improve bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure, create safer bike lanes, and enhance traffic calming measures on high-speed streets.
Campbell is taking bold action to tackle the region’s affordable housing crisis, ensure sustainable growth, and meet California’s Housing Element requirements. As a young professional starting a family and struggling in this challenging housing market, I’m inspired by Campbell’s leadership as the first city in Santa Clara County—and the 14th in the state—to have its Housing Element approved. But there’s still much work to be done to meet the growing need for both market-rate and affordable housing. As a your next Councilmember, I am ready to help Campbell continue to lead on this critical issue, pushing for solutions that work for everyone in our community.
Campbell aims to build 3,870 new homes by 2031, including 1,542 affordable units for low-income residents, as outlined in our Housing Element. This is a crucial step toward addressing our housing crisis while ensuring residents can stay in the community.
As your Councilmember, I will evaluate projects from the perspective of all affected residents to minimize impacts, maintaining Campbell's unique small-town character as we grow.
The city should streamline the process for Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) and support homeowners in converting single-family homes into multifamily units, helping to alleviate the housing shortage.
I am committed to preserving and enhancing the high-quality public services that Campbell residents rely on. I will work hard to ensure the city has the financial resources needed to maintain and expand services.
I will work to address unmet needs, including providing affordable childcare and completing Measure O projects like the public library and police department.
Ensuring that the city is properly staffed is crucial to maintaining the quality of services that residents expect.
Residents deserve to feel safe walking and cycling their neighborhood. I will work to review and enhance the NTCP to promote bicyclist and pedestrian safety.
Economic development is essential for maintaining the city's fiscal health, especially in the face of budget shortfalls like last year’s $4 million deficit due to decreased sales tax revenue and inflation.
Support + Celebrate Small Businesses!
I will work to attract new businesses by simplifying the permit process, collaborating with brokers, hiring an ombudsman to assist with applications, and creating a supportive environment for new enterprises.
I will ensure that the voices of local businesses are heard, helping the city support the community through economic growth by meeting with the Campbell Chamber of Commerce and Bussiness Leaders and Associations
Building a strong community is at the heart of my campaign because I believe that the best decisions are made when everyone has a voice. Through my experience as a Legislative Staffer, organizing events and gathering community feedback, I have seen firsthand the power of civic engagement.
By holding frequent town halls, we can ensure residents have a direct line to share their thoughts and influence decision-making processes.
Resource fairs will connect residents with essential services, local organizations, and opportunities to get involved in the community.
By creating spaces for neighbors to connect and celebrate our shared community, we can build stronger bonds and encourage collaborative solutions to local challenges.
